Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute sponsors Hawaiian studies classes for the children residing in the Leeward and Waianae Coastal area who are in grades 1 through 6. Activities in the program include the following:
- Hawaiian music, its history, instruments and lyrics
- Knowledge of our island plants and their medicinal value
- Study of the land and ocean
- Cultural observation and demonstration of respect for self and others
